Lubbock Police on Friday arrested Isaiah Desean Hawkins, 17, Tramitra Nicole Hawkins, 38, and Elizabeth Taylor Moore, 48, all three of Lubbock. They were accused of robbery and organized crime.
A police report said the three were at Academy Sports at 114th Street and Quaker Avenue on Friday afternoon. It said Tramitra Hawkins shoplifted items while Moore and Isaiah Hawkins acted as lookouts.
A store employee was watching Tramitra Hawkins and went to the front of the store to call police.
The police report quoted Tramitra Hawkins as saying, “I don’t care who y’all call. I will beat someone’s ass if they touch me.”
An employee felt threatened by Tramitra Hawkins, according to the police report.
An off-duty officer followed the three as they left and drove away. But the off-duty officer lost sight of their car. Officers later spotted the car at the other location of Academy Sports at 19th Street and West Loop.
Stolen items were found in the car, according to the police report. It was not known if those items were stolen from the Academy at 114th & Quaker or the location at 19th and W. Loop.
The three were arrested and charged. And Tramitra Hawkin’s car was repossessed by a local car dealership.
They also had a child with them and police asked CPS to investigate. As of Monday, Isaiah Hawkins bonded out of jail but the other two were still in custody.
