Woman seriously injured in stabbing early Thursday morning

Lubbock police responded to reports a stabbing at Club Truth early Thursday morning. 

LPD said when officers arrived at 2806 Parkway Drive around 4 a.m., they found a woman with serious injuries. She was taken to a hospital. 

The LPD later released the following update:

At approximately 4 a.m., Lubbock police officers responded to a report of a stabbing outside Club Truth at 2808 East Parkway Drive. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 24-year-old female with serious stab wounds. Officers immediately began applying aid to the victim until Lubbock Fire Rescue and EMS could take over. The victim was then taken by EMS to the hospital.

Through the initial investigation, it appears a verbal altercation escalated into a physical fight. Officers were advised a female suspect stabbed the victim. A second victim, a 27-year-old male, also sustained minor injuries during the altercation.

No arrests have been made at this time. This case remains under investigation.
