Texas Tech and Duke are slated to meet in a neutral site game at Madison Square Garden in December, according to multiple reports.

Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt addressed the potential meeting on Wednesday.

“The contracts are being reviewed and we fully anticipate that to become a reality in the future,” Hocutt said Wednesday. “What a chance to play a historic basketball program like Duke in maybe our country’s most historic basketball venue.”

Both Mike Krzyzewski and Chris Beard are disciples of Bob Knight.  Beard was on Coach Knight’s staff at Texas Tech from 2001 to 2011 and Krzyzewski played and coached for Knight at Army.
