McClung withdraws from transfer portal

LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech guard Mac McClung has officially withdrawn his name from the transfer portal, he announced Thursday.

McClung, who entered the portal and declared for the 2021 NBA Draft on April 11, tweeted the following:

McClung has not withdrawn his name from the draft, meaning he will either turn professional or return to Texas Tech.

The deadline for an early entry player to withdraw from the NBA Draft is Monday, July 19 at 4:00 p.m.

McClung spent the 2020-21 season at Texas Tech after transferring in from Georgetown. He led the team with 15.5 points per game, good for eighth in the Big 12.
