RJ Hampton to forgo college basketball and play professionally in NBL

Texas Tech Basketball target and five-star recruit RJ Hampton has decided to play professional basketball in the Australian NBL for the New Zealand Breakers.

Hampton announced the decision Tuesday morning on ESPN’s “Get Up.”

He went on to say that his dream was not to play college basketball, but to play professionally.

The Little Elm, Texas product recently reclassified to the 2019 recruiting class and was also considering Kansas or Memphis.
