Dylan Neuse broke up a 1-1 tie in the third with a two-run triple to the gap in left center.
Josh Jung kept the scoring going with an RBI single to right field to score Neuse and give the Red Raiders a 4-1 lead.
Cole Stillwell would cap the scoring with a three-run double to put Texas Tech up 7-1.
Micah Dallas improved to 4-0 with the win. The freshman struck out eight Cowboys in 5.1 innings of work.
The pitching staff combined to have 17 strikeouts. The most in a Big 12 game this season and most for Texas Tech in a conference game since 2010.
The Red Raiders (27-13, 9-7) go for the series win at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Caleb Kilian is slated to get the start on the mound for the Red Raiders.
