TODAY: Expect another day with broken cloud cover as a low pressure system moves into the South Plains. We may squeeze out a few light showers today, at a 10% chance in Lubbock. These showers will favor areas east of the Caprock this afternoon. Temperatures will be above average today, up to 59 in Lubbock. In our region, temperatures will range in the upper 50s to low 60s today.
TOMORROW: Sunny and warm weather is expected Wednesday! A ridge of high pressure takes over which will help 60s return for everyone. Highs will range between about 60-65 degrees tomorow, up to 64 in Lubbock.
LOOKING AHEAD: On Thursday, a breezy cold front drops high temperatures by about 10 degrees. The wind may gust up to 30 mph. Friday is the winter solstice, but it’s not expected to feel winter-like, with 60s in the forecast. The weekend ahead looks to remain in the 50s with a few clouds.
