TODAY: A cold front moved through the area overnight, which will keep today cool and cloudy. Lunch time temperatures will be in the 50s with cloud cover beginning to break up. The afternoon will reach 60° in Lubbock, to the mid 60s south and upper 50s north in the region. Tonight will be chilly, to the upper 30s and low 40s.
TOMORROW: Friday will start chilly and stay cool all day. We likely won’t get out of the 50s tomorrow, to a high of 56° in Lubbock. Friday will also be overcast with increasing rain potential. Rain showers increase through the afternoon, with isolated thunder possible. A round of heavier rain with some thunderstorms are possible overnight.
THIS WEEKEND: Saturday starts with the rain leftover from Friday night, with clearing conditions through the afternoon. Saturday will still be cool, in the 60s. Sunday for mother’s day will be warmer in the 70s with partly cloudy conditions. The next chance of rain will be thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.
